Trieste celebrates sustainable mobility on two wheels

Saturday 15 June marks a significant moment for the city of Trieste with the inauguration of the first edition of BiTS Bike Day. An entire day dedicated to the bike sharing service offered by the Municipality, carefully managed by Trieste Trasporti.

A new era of urban mobility: BiTS kicks off

BiTSacronym for Bike Trieste Sharing, offers citizens and visitors over one hundred bicycles distributed in 23 cycle stations located throughout the city. This service is accessible 24 hours a day, every day of the yearpromises to radically transform the way we get around Trieste, making urban mobility more sustainable and accessible than ever.

Ease of use and convenience: Weelo, the app to unite the city on two wheels

To access the service, simply download the app Weelo, available for both Android and iOS devices, and proceed with a quick registration. From there, users can select the fare that best suits their needs and enjoy the benefits of riding in the city.

An event not to be missed: Scala Reale hosts the BiTS Bike Day

The BiTS Bike Day will take place in the evocative setting of the Scala Reale, located in Riva del Mandracchiogive her 9am to 9pm. An information point, full of stands and equipped areas, will be set up to provide detailed information on the service. Furthermore, a special area will host a temporary cycle station, allowing participants to personally try BiTS bicycles and discover all the details of the service.

The day will not only be informative but also entertaining, with the presence of local influencers and activities designed even for the little ones. BiTS Bike Day is intended as a moment of sharing and fun for the whole community.

Contests and prizes: the competitive side of sustainable mobility

During the event, there will be three contests open to all, offering the chance to win attractive prizes. Among these, 500 annual bike sharing subscriptions and various personalized BiTS gadgets stand out.
