“General Roberto Vannacci, the most voted male candidate with over half a million preferences – noted Marchetti – has enjoyed great success throughout the country, demonstrating that Matteo Salvini’s decision has been able to restore enthusiasm among our voters and has brought him closer to our movement even those who in recent times had not supported us for choices made for good reasons. Italians are tired of pseudo democrats who, while accusing others of fascism, which, moreover, as history teaches, has no longer existed for a long time. , are the first promoters of the dictatorship of the single thought. I am strongly convinced that the wind of freedom that is blowing throughout the European continent is also arriving in our country.”
The secretary also focused on the League’s percentages in Umbria, slightly below the national figure. “Difficult challenges have never scared me, on the contrary – he stated – I am convinced that they are the most exciting. When I became secretary of the Umbria League at the end of last September, I was aware that, together with the team, we would have to do an important job In recent months we have managed to reorganize ourselves in practically all the territories: there is still a lot to do and we are certainly not satisfied with the results obtained. Let’s start from here with even more determination: I have the privilege of being able to count on a team of women and competent and stubborn men, who are spending themselves in the area with passion and dedication, putting themselves at the service of their communities. Considering that our work began not even nine months ago, I am satisfied with what we are building and – concluded Marchetti – with new energies that are becoming part of our movement”.
