The 6th National Motorcycle Rally “City of Udine” arrives in the city. Here’s when and the program – Nordest24

UDINE – From Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd June, Piazza Primo Maggio will become the beating heart of the 6th “Città di Udine” National Motorcycle Rally, an unmissable event for two-wheel enthusiasts. Organized by the historic Motoclub Morena, the gathering will offer a three-day discovery of Friuli through breathtaking itineraries, history, art and local gastronomy.

A Party for Everyone

The event welcomes motorcyclists of all types and members of the Italian Motorcycle Federation (FMI). This edition represents the 3rd selective round of the Italian FMI Mototurismo Championship, the 5th round of the 2024 Veneto regional Mototurismo championship and the 10th round of the Friuli Venezia Giulia 2024 regional tourist trophy. However, the event is also open to all enthusiasts , tourists, curious people and citizens of all ages.

Objectives and Collaborations

Sergio Ammirati, president of the Motoclub Morena, explains: “Our objective is to encourage aggregation and knowledge between the different national motorcycle realities and to promote the territory under multiple aspects: cultural, historical, landscape and food and wine. The event is not only a meeting point for motorcyclists, but also an important opportunity to enhance urban spaces and increase the tourist appeal of the city.”

Weekend program

Friday 21 June

The official inauguration with the authorities will take place at 6pm in Piazza Primo Maggio, followed by the welcoming of motorcyclists until 8pm.

Saturday 22 June

From 10am it will be possible to sign up for the tourist tour of approximately 130 kilometers between the moraine hills and Central Friuli. Departure is scheduled for 11am with return at 5pm, and the route includes stops in Pagnacco, Colloredo di Monte Albano, Basiliano, Codroipo, Nespoledo and Mortegliano, with stops to admire the landscape and taste local specialities. The day will end with live music from the Mist Party Band.

Sunday 23 June

At 11 am, a 40 kilometer motorbike tour will start as a tribute to the city, which will cross the streets of the historic center and the surrounding municipalities such as Tavagnacco, Reana del Rojale and Tricesimo. The parade will end with the awards ceremony at 1pm in Piazza Primo Maggio.

Stands and Entertainment

Piazza Primo Maggio will host motorcycle clothing stands, displays of motorcycles of all types, food and wine kiosks and live music. On Saturday, the Ripuliamoci Challenge association will organize the event “Let’s move towards a more sustainable world” with cleaning activities and workshops for children. Furthermore, a gazebo from the ANA Section of Udine Gruppo di Cussignacco will raise funds for the construction of their new headquarters.
