Siena Biotechnopole Statute, Cgil and Filctem Cgil: “More doubts than certainties”

“The publication in the Official Journal of the Statute of the “Biotecnopolo di Siena” Foundation leaves more doubts than certainties about the future of this institution”. This is how Cgil and Filctem Cgil comment on the publication of the new statute. “The most worrying news is the excerpt in the reformulation of the art. 10 of the 340 million euro funding foreseen for the National Anti-pandemic Center” it is underlined.

“As CGIL and FILCTEM CGIL Siena we have repeatedly reiterated how the Biotechnopole could represent a fundamental piece in the development of this territory and the pivot around which to build that Industrial District of Life Sciences and Biotechnology which is a necessary condition for research and innovation translate into important impacts on the real economy and employment”.

“We fear that the cancellation from the Statute of the provision of 340 million euros, which were instead foreseen in the previous formulation of the Statute, is the precursor to cuts to the resources allocated, from the complementary actions to the PNRR, to our province and the signal of a disengagement of the Government with respect to the project of the National Anti-pandemic Centre” is the fear represented by the unions.
