27 June, in Caserta, we return to talking about the future of the Matese National Park thanks to a conference organized by the Italian Touring Club, with the patronage of the Campania Region, the Molise Region and the city of Caserta: “Matese National Park: nature, landscape, culture and development”.
Awaited for over 30 years, established by law in 2017, the Park project is still at a standstill despite the opportunities it could offer to the territories involved, in particular in the provinces of Benevento, Campobasso, Caserta and Isernia.
The aim of the meeting is to start a dialogue between institutions, scholars and stakeholders to explore the new opportunities offered by the birth of the Matese National Park, in particular regarding the growth prospects deriving from the development of sustainable tourism.
The event, which will be held on Thursday 27 June in Caserta, from 9am to 1pm, in the conference room of the Real Belvedere di San Leucio site, will be attended by representatives of the Campania and Molise regions, experts and exponents of the environmental, cultural and entrepreneurial associative world. Among these Giovanni Pandolfo, National Councilor of the Italian Touring Club and Regional Consul of Campania, Felice Casucci, Councilor for Tourism of the Campania Region, Fulvio Bonavitacola, Vice President of the Campania Region and Councilor for the Environment, Andrea Di Lucente, Vice President of the Molise Region and Councilor for the Environment, Carlo Marino, Mayor of Caserta, Susanna D’Antoni, Responsible for Protected Areas of ISPRA, Luca Santini, President of Federparchi, Rossella Del Prete, Professor at the University of Sannio, Ludovico Solima, Professor at the University of Campania L.Vanvitelli, Rossano Pazzagli, Professor at the University of Studies of Molise, Carmine Nardone, president of Futuridea, Roberto Ruta, author of the rule relating to the Matese National Park in law 205/2017, Antonio Nicoletti, national manager of Protected Areas and Biodiversity Legambiente, Vincenzo D’Andrea, president emeritus of Consulta del Matese, Antonella Golino, researcher at the University of Molise.
The final speech is entrusted to Giuseppe Roma, Vice President of the Italian Touring Club.
The invitation is aimed at all local and regional entities, including local associations and businesses. The objective of the conference is to build a cohesive and future-oriented territorial community, overcoming divisions and promoting the development of the Matese National Park.
