Almost forty-eight hours after the closing of the polls, however, the list of all those elected is still not certain: 78 sections have ended up in court and we will still have to wait to be able to put an end to it. An indefiniteness to which is added that due to the game of renunciations and takeovers, making the picture uncertain for a few more days.
Giorgia Meloni and Elly Schlein, who as leaders engaged in a tough battle in the electoral campaign, never had the intention of going to the European Parliament and thus made room for their colleagues on the list after them. The counts are still underway but the picture for the prime minister’s party is in fact clear: among those who sought reconfirmation and were elected as Carlo Fidanza (50,751 preferences) e Nicola Procaccini (120,786 preferences).
