Air of renewal for the gyms of Monza schools. Over the course of this summer, for 4 of them there will be regulatory compliance work for the Ats and Fire Brigade. The council approved the works for the Zucchi middle school, where there will be interventions in both gyms, both the large one for basketball and the small one intended mainly for volleyball. In addition to changing the flooring, we will proceed with dismantling and disposal of disused sports equipment, and the supply and installation of a new basketball facility and new ball nets, for a total value of 31,145 euros. In addition to Zucchi, during the summer the flooring will be changed and the stands of the Ardigò middle school will be renovated, where the capacity will be 440 seats, plus another 4 for disabled people. At the Tacoli elementary school, the boiler will be replaced, a long-awaited intervention. Lastly, renovation work is underway on the gym at the Bellani middle school, which should be finished by Christmas. The renovation comes after the larger total renovation of the school complex, which will completely renew the appearance of the school and whose construction site will start at the beginning of 2025, making it highly energy efficient (for an investment of 11 million euros). “Ours is a response to the need of schools and sports clubs to have gyms up to standard and renovated spaces – comments the Sports Councilor of the Municipality of Monza Viviana Guidetti –. In total with these new summer jobs, there will be 10 construction sites for sports facilities opened simultaneously in the city, including those of important complexes such as the Sada and the Piscina Pia Grande”.
