Bergamo. As final exam season approaches, high school students province of Bergamo they prepare to face one of the most significant moments of their school career. There Maturity 2024 presents itself as a testing ground not only for students but also for educational institutions, called to manage an exam that continues to evolve in response to the educational and social needs of our time.

In the 2023 we have witnessed the return ‘to normality’ of the state exam after the pandemic and for the 2024 the same methods are confirmed: two national written tests, a third test dedicated to specific areas and a multidisciplinary interview. There examination commission it will be made up of an external president, three external members and three internal members of the school institution.

There first try tests your command of the Italian language: it is scheduled for Wednesday June 19th at 8.30 with the same methods for all institutes and will last six hours. There will be seven tracks divided into three types: two text analyses, three argumentative text tracks and two current affairs topics.

There second testwhich varies according to the field of study, will be held on Thursday June 20thalways at 8.30. The Ministry, with a specific decree, has established the disciplines for each institute.

State Institutes of Higher Education (high schools)
Classical high school: Greek
Scientific high school: mathematics
Linguistic high school: foreign language and culture 3
High school of human sciences: human sciences
Artistic high school: design disciplines characteristic of the individual addresses
High school music: theory, analysis and composition
Dance high school: dance techniques

Technical institutes
Administration, finance and marketing: business economics
Tourism: tourism and business disciplines
Constructions, environment and territory: topography
IT and telecommunications: systems and networks
Graphics and communication: multimedia design
Production and transformations: transformation of products for agricultural institutes

For the Professional institutes there is no second test on disciplines established by the Ministry, but the examination commissions define a test aimed at verifying the skills and fundamental thematic cores of direction.

The oral test will take place starting from the Monday following the second written test (June 24th) and will have a duration of around 50-60 minutes. The oral exam has a multidisciplinary dimension, thus enabling the candidate to delve deeper into multiple subjects. The first step will be the analysis of the material chosen by the commission and submitted to the student, who will also have to demonstrate that he has acquired civic education skills. Subsequently, he will have to present the experience PCT carried out during the course of study.

The grade is obtained by adding the evaluations achieved in the individual tests to the credits obtained in the three-year period of high school. The score is expressed in hundredths and the minimum mark to be promoted is 60/100, which corresponds to sufficiency. Each exam paper can get from a minimum of 0 to a maximum of 20 points.

Maturity is always a moment of great importance and requires careful preparation and constant support. The exam represents a rite of passage that for each student marks the end of a significant chapter in their life and the beginning of new adventures, whether academic or professional.
