Gubbio, here is the new city council in case of victory of Fiorucci or Girlanda

How the Gubbio city council will change, after the outcome of the first round gave access to the ballot to the candidate supported by the centre-right parties Vittorio Fiorucci and to the former undersecretary of Transport and Infrastructure from the PDL, Rocco Girlanda. The red stronghold of Umbria, therefore, will certainly pass to the centre-right, while the centre-left forces are confined to the opposition. But not all. The simulation developed by Umbria24, using the D’Hondt method for the distribution of seats, may naturally be susceptible to errors. Based on the calculations carried out, both Francesco Della Porta and Gabriele Tognoloni are excluded from the board.

And therefore, in the event of Fiorucci’s victory, the majority would be driven by Gubbio civica, which would elect seven councilors (Mattia Martinelli 191 preferences, Nancy Latini 138, Francesco Pascolini 127, Francesca Sannipoli 106, Roberta Satiri 99, Mauro Biccari 95 and Vittorio Tasso 92 ). Another four seats would be the prerogative of Fratelli d’Italia (Francesco Gagliardi 187 preferences, Alessio Nicchi 70, Sara Rinaldini 62 and Chiara Generotti and Adele Martinozzi both with 59 preferences). After that, two councilors would make up the League group (Micaela Parlagreco 115 preferences and Enrico Piergentili 72) and another two would sit in the chamber with the Forza Italia flag (Carlotta Colaiacovo 234 and Riccardo Giuseppe Ciliegi 58).

With Fiorucci as mayor in opposition, Girlanda would go together with a councilor from democratic Gubbio (Diego Guerrini 225 preferences) and one from Rinascimento Gubbio (Luigi Girlanda 162 preferences). The other front of the opposition would be led by Alessia Tasso flanked by an advisor from the Free and Democrats (Simona Minelli 208 preferences) and the standard-bearer of the Democratic Party (Marco Cardile 131 preferences). Finally, Leonardo Nafissi would also enter the chamber together with two councilors of Gubbio, a future city (Jacopo Cicci 492 preferences and Federica Cicci 262).

In the event that Girlanda were to prevail in the run-off, however, democratic Gubbio would become the first majority force with six seats (Diego Guerrini 225 preferences, Giovanni Pierini 143, Mirko Gnagni 142, Federico Francioni 136, Andrea Fronduti 132, Francesca Carpinelli 124). The Gubbio Renaissance patrol is also large and will receive five seats (Luigi Girlanda 162 preferences, Renzo Michetti 129, Michela Agostinelli 62, Silvia Rosi 46, Claudia Pascolini 43) and another four if Gubbio viva will win (Alessia Tomassoli 46 preferences, Piero Panarelli 42, Viviana Maringelli 23, Debora Mori 18).

With Girlanda as mayor, Fiorucci would be the one to join the opposition together with two councilors from Gubbio civica (Mattia Martinelli 191 preferences, Nancy Latini 138, ) and one from Fdi (Francesco Gagliardi 187 preferences). Tasso would naturally remain supported in his action by a councilor from Liberi&Democratici (Simona Minelli 208 preferences) and on the other from the Democratic Party (Marco Cardile 131 preferences), while Nafissi would be supported only by a councilor from Gubbio futuro (Jacopo Cicci 492 preferences)
