Rome, 11 June “With the European vote, Cosenza returns to being a stronghold of the centre-left”. Mayor Franz Caruso stated this, commenting on the results from the ballot box last Sunday.

“The electoral outcome is not foreign to the political context of the city: the coalition that governs Cosenza establishes itself as a majority thanks to the project that we are carrying out with determination – continues Caruso -. Compared to the past, we have reversed course and the growth and development path we are pursuing is now clearly visible. We are working to maintain and implement the commitments undertaken with our voters, implementing political/administrative action aimed first and foremost at the common good”.

“The voters of Cosenza have, therefore, chosen, without ifs or buts, the center left and the representative forces of our administrative structure, so much so that, empirically, these are largely in the majority in the electoral orientations that were expressed on Sunday,” he says still the mayor of Cosenza.

“The centre-right forces in Cosenza, however, are falling back by more than ten points compared to the percentage they recorded in Calabria. Recording one of the worst data. Exactly the opposite of the result that the center-left forces achieved with an increase of over ten points compared to the regional figure”, underlines Caruso.

“The electoral result of the European elections in Cosenza expresses potential that is yet to be grasped and which we will grasp by accelerating towards the completion of our path of good administrative governance”, he concludes.
