The user requests to the SerD (Addiction Services) of the Asp of Trapani in just one year they increased from around 4,000 to 5,500: they risk spreading, especially among young people, new drugs like Crack and Fentanyl, increasingly powerful and insidious, with worrying consequences for society and the health system. The Trapani healthcare company is launching a series of initiatives aimed at combat the phenomenon and raise awareness among the community of the dangers deriving fromuse of narcotic substances with particular reference to New Psychoactive Substances (NPS): it will be one of the topics at the center of attention during the focus dedicated to “Health and Cinema”, which will take place on Saturday 15 June in the square of Malfa, on the island of Saline.

The meeting, organized as part of the XIII edition of the Marefestival Premio Troisi, which every year reflects on how cinema can become an effective communication tool for transfer precious messages to the public, thanks also to the presence of well-known actors, it will begin at 7 pm and will see the participation of the extraordinary commissioner Asp Trapani Ferdinando Croce and illustrious speakers discussing various topics. “The Salina event has, for years now, represented a useful opportunity for turn the spotlight on the most current issues – explains the commissioner – which concern the health and quality of life of our citizens and young generations. The cinematographic vehicle in this sense is indispensable for reaching an important number with ease and capillarity. In order to promote healthy lifestyles and raise awareness of the services and facilities made available in the area”.
The commitment of the provincial health authority

Towards the Small Islands health congress
The participation of the Asp Trapani will also be useful to announce a congress promoted by the ANSPI (National Health Association of the Small Islands), chaired by Gianni Donigagliawhich will be held on the island of Favignana next 11 and 12 October: the title is “Divergent thinking in the construction of healthcare in the smaller islands: The of Favignana” with the aim of addressing problems, critical issues and possible solutions to health issues relating to the island territories.
