The Bruno administration succeeds in its aim of giving new life to the Orchestra Città di Andria, a rhythmic-symphonic ensemble which from the mid-90s until 2006 raised the name of Frederick’s city, touring Italy, recording CDs and promoting the culture of quality music, with valuable events and initiatives. The ensemble’s new project, curated by the APS “ProgettÒrchestra” will be presented at a press conference Thursday 13 June at 11am at Palazzo di Città – council room.
«I am particularly happy with the successful outcome of this relaunch operation which is the new Orchestra Città di Andria. We are giving it new life. We have recovered one of the most beautiful and original experiences of our land, we have put the founders back together, called the protagonists of a season that has remained unique to work. We have supported new recruits who have gotten involved with enthusiasm and enthusiasm and who today allow us to present this restart, which has many organizational innovations in store.” Objective achieved by mayor Bruno and his administration, with the decisive contribution of the councilor for roots Cesare Troia who, together with the municipal sector, is committed to the collation of a summer tourism relaunch program which incorporates the proposals of associations received following public notice and which aims to offer varied territorial promotion initiatives.
The world premiere of the Città di Andria Orchestra is scheduled for June 22nd, to celebrate the National Music Festival. Free entry, in the central avenue of the municipal villa, for the concert directed by the historic maestro and arranger Vito Andrea Morra, with the solo voices of Andria excellences Luciana Negroponte and Patty Lomuscio.
