The city of Gallarate is preparing to welcome the 28th edition of Middle distance of Lake Maggiore, organized byASD Ciclistica Gallarate in collaboration with Lake Navigation and the Municipal Administration of Gallarate-Sport Department. The cycling event will be held Sunday 23 June 2024is included in World Donor Month.

The Mediofondo, also known as Randonnée, will unfold on a 110 kilometer route and will be open to ACSI members, national consultancy bodies and foreign federations. Registrations will be accepted from 7.15am to 8.15am in Piazza Guenzati (corner of Piazza Garibaldi) in Gallarate. A part of the registration fee will be donated to the UILDM Varese Section to support the fight against muscular dystrophy.

Route and refreshment
Participants will leave in teams between 7.15 and 8.30 and will pass through various picturesque locations including Casorate Sempione, Somma Lombardo, Sesto Calende, Arona, Stresa, Baveno, Fondo Toce, Pallanza, Intra (where boarding is expected on the ferry), Laveno, Ispra, Angera and Golasecca, and then return to Gallarate. A refreshment point will be available at the Intra pier.

To guarantee the safety of all participants, the use of a protective helmet and compliance with the highway code is mandatory. Checks will be carried out along the route and participants must hand over the check sheet to the jury upon arrival by 1pm. The organizing company declines all civil and criminal liability in case of accidents that could occur before, during and after the event.

Awards ceremony
The first five participating companies will be rewarded and all cyclists will receive a souvenir. The awards ceremony represents a moment of recognition for commitment and participation.
