“francesco faà di bruno. epistolary”
On Saturday 15 June it will be possible to immerse yourself in the noble atmosphere of the Faà di Bruno family, thanks to a day full of meetings sponsored by the Circolo Culturale I Marquesi del Monferrato, the Regina dei Martiri Pastoral Union and the Bruno Alpine Group. At 3.00 pm there will be a welcome at the Francesco Faà di Bruno Chapel (via Silva, 22); at 3.30 pm you can meet the Faà family of Bruno, followed by a visit to the castle and the childhood places of the Blessed.
At 5.00 pm the appointment will be with the presentation of the volume Francesco Faà di Bruno. Epistolario (1838-1888) published by Centro Studi Piemontesi and Suore Minime del Suffragio, edited by Sister Carla Gallinaro.
After the introductory greetings of the Parish Priest Don Claudio Montanaro, Sister Chiara Busin (Minimum Sisters of Suffrage) and Albina Malerba (Centro Studi Piemontesi) will be followed by speeches by Rosanna Roccia, president of the scientific committee of the Centro Studi Piemontesi, Anna Rizzo, professor of History and author of works of a historical literary nature, Livia Giacardi, Full Professor of the Department of Mathematics of the University of Turin and Sister Carla Gallinaro, curator of the work.
The Epistolary collects fifty years of the life of Francesco Faà di Bruno, fifty years of history of a period rich in political, cultural and social ferment, which saw social sanctity flourish in Turin. The letters collected here allow us to understand the style and action of an extraordinary character: a man of science, charity, spirituality, beatified in 1988 by John Paul II. The volume reconstructs his inner story, his joys, his worries, the many initiatives in favor of the most needy which led him to the foundation of the Congregation of the Minime Sisters of Our Lady of Suffrage.

This will be followed by a reception at around 6.45pm in the square in front of the parish church.
Emiliana Conti
President of the Marchesi del Monferrato club
