Guidonia Montecelio will host the “Social Tour” from 13 to 16 June

From 13 to 16 June, Guidonia Montecelio will host the “Social Tour”, a project dedicated to raising awareness of social hardship through art.

The Social Tour represents an immersive experience that combines artistic expression with awareness of social challenges. By promoting understanding and welcoming diversity, this initiative aims to eliminate prejudice and build a more inclusive and informed community.

The program includes four intense days of free events during which artists, experts and enthusiasts from various sectors will be involved. Meetings, shows, concerts, street art and exhibitions will be organised, with the aim of raising awareness in the community of Guidonia Montecelio on the topic of social hardship through art, music and sport.

JUNE 13:

6.00 pm – Guidonia, Piazza Matteotti

At Piazza Matteotti, the Anco Marzio Judo school will kick off the evening with a demonstration of skill and inclusion, underlining the importance of sport as a means of social integration.

8.30pm – Guidonia, Imperial Theatre

The new show “VITRIOL”, written and performed by Mario Tricca with the participation and choreography of Andrea Palombi and the Rome International Dance Academy, will address the topic of bullying and cyberbullying, offering an enlightening point of view on the impact that these phenomena they can have. Entrance is free while seats last.

10pm – Guidonia, Piazza Matteotti

The evening will continue with a flashmob that will involve the public, followed by a DJ set that will liven up Piazza Matteotti, offering a musical and fun experience for all participants.

JUNE 14:

6.30pm – Guidonia, Piazza Matteotti

The second day of the Social Tour will begin with the historic group of motorcyclists “MPM Gens”, which will leave at 6.30 pm from via del Barco, 7 (Tivoli Terme). The group will cross the streets of Villanova, Villalba, Albuccione and Collefiorito, before reaching Guidonia, where it will travel the streets of the city with a spectacular motorbike parade, creating a unique and engaging atmosphere. Arrival is expected at 8.00 pm in Piazza Matteotti.

8.30pm – Guidonia, Imperial Theatre

The band La Scelta, together with Mirko Frezza, Ismaila Mbaye, Marcello Fonte, RIDA, Quattrotto Dance Company and Pan-IC, will stage a musical performance that explores inclusion, social revenge and rebirth. Free entry while places last.

10.30pm – Guidonia, Piazza Matteotti

The evening will continue with a colorful Holi Party at Piazza Matteotti, followed by a DJ set that will make everyone present dance until late at night.

JUNE 15:

4.00 pm – Villanova/Piazzale Airport Guidonia

Departure from Villanova, with a parade of vintage cars and motorbikes through Albuccione and various neighborhoods, until reaching the square of Guidonia Airport. An opportunity to admire historic vehicles and share the passion for engines.

6.00 pm – Guidonia, Pinetina in Via Roma

At the Pinetina space in Via Roma, the “Social Food” cooking workshop will be held, led by chef Nicoletta Lanci (known for her participation in the television program “La Prova del Cuoco”), in collaboration with the Numeri Primi Association . An opportunity to discover new recipes and the importance of sharing in the kitchen.

8.45pm – Guidonia, Piazza Matteotti

The Azzurri’s first match at the 2024 European Championship, Italy-Albania, will be projected on a giant screen, offering an opportunity for fun and aggregation for the whole family.
