Campobasso, 11 June 2024 – The Molise Regional Council, chaired by President Quintino Pallante, continued in the direction traced by the Court of Auditors of Molise, confirming its commitment to respect the sentences that annulled various financial statements, including that of 2021.
In this morning’s session, the Regional Council approved with 12 votes in favor and 4 against the bill presented by the Regional Council which provides for the repeal of various regional laws, in accordance with the directives of the Court of Auditors. In particular, the provision provides:
- The repeal of the regional law of 31 December 2022, n. 27 (General report of the Molise Region for the financial year 2021)
- The repeal of the regional law of 28 December 2023, n. 9 (General report of the Molise Region for the financial year 2022)
- The repeal of articles 2 and 3 of the regional law of 19 September 2023, n. 4 (Amendment of article 12 of the regional law of 30 December 2020, n. 17 “General report of the Molise Region for the financial year 2019” and amendments of the regional law of 31 December 2022, n. 27 “General report of the Molise Region for the financial year 2021”).
The bill was illustrated to the Chamber by the speaker Roberto Di Pardo, President of the First Permanent Commission, who examined the legislative initiative and expressed a favorable opinion. During the general discussion and explanations of vote, Councilors Greco, Fanelli, Di Pardo and Budget Councilor Cefaratti spoke.
The legislative text approved by the Assembly is in line with sentence no. 58 of 6 February 2024 of the Constitutional Court, which established the constitutional illegitimacy of the regional law of 31 December 2022, n. 27, promoted by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. This provision represents a further step forward by the Regional Council in adapting to the indications of the Court of Auditors.
