Strengthened control services in Chioggia, a coastal municipality in the province of Venice, by the police force and with the support of the local police.

The strengthening of controls, which will concern the busiest areas of the municipal territory and will be concentrated above all on the weekend, when there is a greater influx of people, was ordered today in the prefecture by the provincial committee for public order and safety chaired by prefect Darco Pellos, summoned to examine the situation in light of reports from citizens and associations relating to episodes of vandalism which in some cases resulted in acts of violence by young people, which occurred especially in the evening or at night in some areas of Chioggia.

Faced with this situation, the municipality of Chioggia has modified the urban police regulation and has strengthened the prevention and control activity by the local police for the summer period, reported the mayor Mauro Armelao, present at the meeting together with the commander of the same local police Luca Sattin.

In line with what was decided for Chioggia, the surveillance services, the committee ordered, will be strengthened in all the other coastal municipalities of the province.
