The initiative entitled “Thanks to the great yellow-blue heart”, launched by the Trent and its partners DAO-Conad and Giacca Costruzioni Elettriche on the occasion of the last regular season match of the Serie C Now 2023-2024 season against Renate. For the championship match, which took place last April 28th at the Briamasco Stadium, the Via Sanseverino club decided to donate the entire proceeds to the LILT association (Italian League for the Fight against Cancer) Provincial Section of Trento. The eagle fans were thus able to contribute and support, through the purchase of a ticket at a discounted rate, the various activities promoted in the area by the charity association.
Today, the President of AC Trento 1921, Mauro Giacca and the President of Dao Cooperativa, Ezio Gobbi virtually handed over the entire sum collected at the end of the initiative. The meeting, which took place at the LILT headquarters (Corso 3 Novembre, 132 Trento), further established the closeness and synergy between the four entities involved in the initiative. Thanks to the proceeds from the sale of tickets, relating to the match against Renate, and the sensitivity demonstrated once again by DAO-Conad and Giacca Costruzioni Elettriche, in fact, it was possible to raise 15,000 euros which will go to support the actions promoted by the LILT Provincial Section of Trento.
Special thanks also to the Gialloblù fans who, last 28 April, filled the Briamasco Stadium, allowing AC Trento 1921 both to achieve the historic goal of the playoffs and to be able to carry out and give depth to the initiative “Thanks to the great and with a big yellow-blue heart”, through the sale of many tickets for the championship match.
The President of AC Trento 1921, Mauro Giacca underlined: “We immediately embraced this initiative with conviction. In fact, we like to think that, through sport, we can do good for our entire Trentino community. For years I have collaborated and collaborated with LILT, trying to support it in the commendable activities it carries out on a daily basis within our territory. For us, being able to contribute to even one of these is a source of pride. We strongly believe in the importance of research and prevention in the fight against tumors, a necessary activity to try to reduce what, unfortunately, is still a terrible disease that affects many people”.
The President of Dao Cooperativa, Ezio Gobbi, wanted to remember how “what happened was not just a simple meeting with President Cristofolini and President Giacca. But it was the conclusion of an initiative born and conceived a month ago. Let’s meet again new, no longer at the Briamasco Stadium but at the headquarters of LILT Provincial Association of Trento, has allowed us to get to know this reality even more closely, demonstrating the support and sensitivity that DAO Cooperativa has towards a local reality like this We can therefore consider what happened yesterday as a meeting, a discussion and concrete help”.
Therefore, the collaboration that has been close for years between AC Trento 1921 and LILT Associazione Provinciale di Trento, represented by the President Mario Cristofolini, continues: “We renew our sincere gratitude to AC Trento 1921, DAO-Conad and Giacca Costruzioni Elettriche for this significant donation. It is It is also thanks to gestures like this that we can continue our daily work to protect everyone’s health with awareness-raising, prevention, early diagnosis and assistance activities for cancer patients and their families. We will continue to strive to do better.”
