Cristina Frazzica, hit and killed by a motorboat while she was on a kayak in Naples, was a girl who put a lot of passion into what she did and chose. And she, Cristina, when the internship was offered to her, instead of choosing to move closer to her city, Pavia, and return to the North, had “strongly” wanted to stay in Naples. «I remember it vividly – says Catalanotti – because the point was at the center of a private conversation I had, with her as with the other students, on the occasion of choosing the location for the internship, which began in May. Among the possible options there were also companies from the North, but she indicated more than one bell, clearly showing her preference. Cristina wanted to stay in Naples, she was very attached to the city. She wanted more than one company, in the end she started her internship in the Campania headquarters of the Nouscom pharmaceutical company. She was satisfied, but today I can’t help but think that perhaps a different choice could have changed the course of things.”
What was Cristina like?
«She was very good, brilliant. When the selection took place, in November, she placed herself among the top. She followed with great participation, her smile, which never gave up, gave voice to her great passion.
Have you heard from teachers and classmates? Have they heard the terrible news?
«Yes, I heard from some guys. They are shocked. One of the students apparently went to the Polyclinic in the afternoon, where the body was taken and where Cristina’s parents also arrived. We are all shocked.”
The graduation ceremony is scheduled for mid-July. Could this be the right opportunity to remember Cristina?
“Yes exactly. July 16th. I can’t even think about it now, though. But certainly this class and this Academy will not forget her. She was a student who left a mark.”
