The Siena municipal council approved, in the meeting held this morning, Monday 10 June, a resolution relating to the granting of free loan for use for nine years to the Tuscany South East Local Health Authority of the municipal property located in Strada del Laterino in Siena. In particular, the resolution, proposed by the heritage councilor Massimo Bianchini, is an acknowledgment of the adaptation of the intended use and approves the contract scheme.
On 23 April last, the Tuscany South East Local Health Authority requested the formalization by the municipal administration of the change of intended use consistent with the existing destination, i.e. the use of the premises as the headquarters of the Serd day centre, as from a contract stipulated in 1999 and expired. The Municipality of Siena has noted, as stated in the resolution, “the interest in continuing these socio-educational-rehabilitative activities carried out at the granted property and the willingness to stipulate a new free loan for use”. At the same time it was deemed “appropriate to provide for the change of urban destination from residential to ‘Public spaces, equipment and services or of public interest’, under the heading ‘S2f’: health care services”. With the deed, the cadastral category of the property is also updated (from category A4, social housing, to category B2, non-profit nursing homes).
