LAWN. Giorgia Meloni, as was widely expected, made the most of the preferences in the Brothers of Italy list for the renewal of the European Parliament. The Prime Minister received 7,573 in the province of Prato, that is, four out of five of those expressed by FdI voters. Regional councilor Francesco Torselli is far behind but still with a good result (1,021).
The picture of preferences of the Democratic Party, where the mayor of Florence Dario Nardella (2,368) surpasses the national secretary Elly Schlein who stops at 2,032. It should not be forgotten that neither Giorgia Meloni nor Elly Schlein will go to Strasbourg. Also on the Pd list, former secretary Nicola Zingaretti gets 1,240 preferences and the president of the regional council Antonio Mazzeo puts together 695.
Good result, in the Forza Italia – We Moderates list, for the Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs, the Prato native Giorgio Silli, who has the luxury of surpassing his minister of reference, Antonio Tajani. 1,353 preferences go to Silli, 1,034 to Tajani.
Effect Roberto Vannacci in the League’s list, which does not go beyond 5.68 on a provincial basis, but the controversial paratrooper general, strongly supported by Salvini, garners 2,072 preferences leaving the outgoing MEP Susanna Ceccardi at 601.
In the list of the Alleanza Verdi Sinistra, one of the positive surprises of these European elections, the greatest consensus goes to the former mayor of Rome Ignazio Marino with 407 preferences.
In the 5 Star Movement, however, the most voted is the former center forward of the national football team Carolina Morace with 267 preferences.
As for the former third pole, Matteo Renzi tops the list with 1,681 preferences in the United States of Europe list (but barring twists and turns he won’t reach 4%) and his former ally Calenda gets 262 in the Action list (ditto as above)
