Wheelchair basketball, Entain Italia with Santa Lucia Basket

Rome, 10 June. (askanews) – The mixed match which saw Entain employees in Italy play alongside the professional players of Santa Lucia Basket was held at the Palarinaldi in Rome. An initiative that reaffirms Entain’s commitment to supporting third sector associations and aims to raise employee awareness on the issue of motor disabilities. We spoke with Giuliano Guinci, Public Affairs, Sustainability & Retail Operations Director of Entain Italia: “The value of this match is enormous, and is profoundly linked to what we have been trying to carry forward for three years which is a fairly broad project that involves different sports disciplines. Today we talk about basketball, in recent months we have dealt with other sports, but at the basis there is social inclusion. Many companies are involved in CSR programs that have the world of sport as their basis, I believe it is The time has come to network and build together those infrastructures that will then allow many third sector associations to carry out their activities in peace and safety”. A day that represented a further step forward in the collaboration between Entain and the association, committed to promoting sport as an opportunity for integration and personal growth. Giulio Sanna, President of Santa Lucia Basket Roma, then spoke to us: “For people with disabilities it is certainly much more important to do sports because it allows them to have greater safety, to strengthen the part that does not have disabilities to be able to move with wheelchair safely. Finding associations, like this one, that support us in these projects is very important. Finding structures is very difficult, today we are here and it is not our field, but we thank our friend Maresca who hosted us. We wrote a letter to the Mayor Gualtieri because with this council we have been looking for a solution for three years and we are no longer able to manage this on our own. The association was awarded on the occasion of the second edition of the CSR award in December, an event during which Entain took the opportunity to underline the central role of collaboration between private, public and third sectors with specific reference to the importance of social infrastructures . Sensitivity to the topic of inclusion in the world of sport represents a fundamental part of the company’s DNA, and active support for these realities translates into a concrete expression of the contribution to the sport sector.
