The Elite Prato Hockey championship is coming to an end and on Sunday, on the penultimate day, the Lorenzoni BCC athletes flew to Cagliari to meet the Ferrini team who they had easily beaten in the first leg.
Each match, however, must be faced with a new spirit and so coach Berrino’s girls took to the pitch with the idea of not underestimating their commitment and above all of making up for the bad defeat suffered by Universitaria Torino in previous commitment which had effectively extinguished their tricolor dreams.
However, we started off not well right away, suffering a short corner due to a bad foul by Sara Agrò who was sent away in time and could do nothing to avoid the goal from Ferrini. The team shakes up and from that moment tries to play in a less disjointed way and thanks to a good overall attack they equalize thanks to their super striker Pilar De Biase.
We continue at pace and in the third quarter Carla Servadio takes care of carrying the team forward which maintains the advantage of 2 to 1 until the end thanks also to a more orderly defense in which Martina Galimberti emerges again in this match and has effectively canceled the strong opponent Delfina Granatto and, in the center of the field, the Ukrainian athletes Olha Kourovska and Katya Samokochenko who did not hold back together with the whole team.
In this way, President Calonico’s athletes are definitively in third position, but next Sunday they could be decisive in the fight for the title by having to meet Valverde from Catania on their home field, together with Amsicora, a contender for the 2024 title .
