It is the day long awaited by Napoli fans: Antonio Conte has arrived in the city. The new coach of the Neapolitan club landed this morning at Capodichino airport, accompanied by the new sporting director Giovanni Manna and the coordinator of the technical staff Gabriele Oriali.
Just before 11am, the plane coming from Milan touched down and Conte was greeted enthusiastically by a group of curious Italian fans, ready to welcome the new coach. When asked by Sky Sport journalists how he felt, Conte responded with a telegraphic but eloquent: “Enthusiastic? Very”.
After the warm welcome, Conte headed towards the Castelvolturno Sports Centre, Napoli’s headquarters and home to the team’s training sessions. Here, together with his staff, he will begin to familiarize himself with the environment and plan for the new football season.
