For book and literature enthusiasts, from June 19th until the beginning of September there will be fun and excitement, meeting live VIPs and international literature experts in the new edition of Velletri Libris, the eighth.
Prestigious guests and great VIPs and experts in international literature will liven up some evenings of the Veliterna summer until September
The international literary festival includes, divided over the summer, a quality program where 12 live evenings will be held, in the prestigious Veliterna headquarters of the Cloister of Cultures and with the patronage of the municipality of Velletri.
Departure on Wednesday 19th with the first evening and final appointment on 8th September, always in the evening, at the Casa delle Cuture in Piazza Trento e Trieste.
Always meet up with free entry at 8pm and event evenings with the authors which will always start from 9pm.
Obviously, as in previous editions of the international literary festival of Velletri, before and after the debates, a series of wines and local gastronomic products from the area will be made available to those present.
It should also be remembered that every event, debate and tasting is totally free.

Wednesday 19th
We start with Gianluca Gotto, who will present to viewers “When happiness begins” (Mondadori), a novel that deals with births, deaths and rebirths
Thursday 26 June
The finalists of the Strega prize arrive, with events not to be missed, getting to know all the competitors of the most coveted literary prize in Italy and their works, with the winner to be announced on July 4th.
That evening those present will be able to dialogue with Donatella Di Pietrantonio, Dario Voltolini, Chiara Valerio, Paolo Di Paolo, Raffaella Romagnolo and Tommaso Giartosio.
Friday 28 June
This evening there will be a meeting with Lorenzo Marone who will perform in the live show “semi-serious monologue of an unprepared fifty-year-old” where he will talk about the difference between the adult world and the world of generation
Tuesday 2 July
Enthusiasts will meet Bjorn Larson, author of “The True Story of the Pirate Long John Silver” who in the Veliterna setting presents his latest literary effort, entitled “To be or not to be human”.
Thursday 4 July
Vinicio Marchioni, as well as a great actor, he shows himself to the spectators of the literary event as a writer, presenting his first novel “Three Nights”.
Marchioni, actor and writer fresh from the success of “There’s Still Tomorrow”, presents his debut novel “Three Nights” published by Rizzoli.
Saturday 13 July
Maria Grazia Calandrone large poetess and writer, returns to Velletri Libris after being awarded the Strega Prize, for her latest work, entitled “Magnificent and terrible was love” (Einaudi).
Sunday 21 July
Paolo Mieli, a great essayist, writer and journalist, will talk about the worki “The authoritarian century, he who had already been at Velletri Libris in the past.
Tuesday 23 July
Ascanio Celestini, irreverent and appreciated Roman theatrical actor and narratortells us about his work “Stories of a war idiot”
Friday 26 July
Matteo Paolillo, writer, actor of “Mare Fuori” and singer, presents his first novel “2045”
Thursday 8 August
Sigfrido Ranucci, “big shot” and report presenter, will present the opera “La Selection” in Velletri where we talk about the role of the contemporary journalist and the delicate issue of freedom of information.
Thursday 5 September
Benedetta Tobagi, in this last evening event presents the book “The massacres are all a mystery”, an essay where he describes all the half-truths that hide in the narrative of many of the latest Italian massacres..
Sunday 8 September Roby Facchinetti, voice of the legendary Pooh, will be the protagonist of the final story, where he will present his autobiography, entitled “What a spectacle life is”,
