The province of Agrigento confirms itself as a “fiefdom” of Forza Italia. The Forza Italia party, in the 2024 European elections, was the favorite of the people of Agrigento. 136,424 people from Agrigento voted (equal to 36.53%). There were six candidates from the province of Agrigento but none of them managed to win a seat in the European Parliament despite having different “personal performances”. Going into specifics, as previously mentioned, Forza Italia was the “favorite” party of the people of Agrigento. The list obtained 46,270 votes equal to 36.43%. Fratelli d’Italia is in second place in the province of Agrigento with 17.66% equal to 22,427. And again: Five Star Movement with 17,567 votes (13.83%), Democratic Party with 16,597 votes (13.07%), League with 9,394 (7.40%), Freedom with 4,812 votes (3.79%), Greens and Left with 3,928 votes (3.09%), United States of Europe with 2,030 votes (1.60%), “Peace, land and dignity” with 1,517 votes (1.19%), Popular Alternative with 1,333 votes ( 1.05%) and Action with 1,146 votes (0.90%).

Going into the details of the vote expressed in the province of Agrigento, the data that emerges is that Margherita La Rocca Ruvolo, provincial coordinator of Forza Italia, is the most voted in the Agrigento area. The mayor of Montevago obtained 17,588 ahead of Massimo Dell’Utri, representing Totò Cuffaro who instead received 17,078 votes in the Agrigento area. In Fratelli d’Italia, after Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni who obtained 11,516 preferences in the province, there is the Agrigento deputy Giusi Savarino with 9,059 votes. The province of Agrigento also rewarded Giuseppe Antoci, candidate of the Five Star Movement, who obtained 4,749 preferences useful for his election to Parliament. The candidate originally from Sciacca Antonella Di Prima instead had 3,430 votes. In the PD, however, the province voted en masse for Lidia Tilotta, a Rai journalist, who received 4,468 votes (behind only secretary Schlein); seconded Pietro Bartolo, doctor from Lampedusa, with 3,052 votes. The League in the province of Agrigento is not making headway. The outgoing Annalisa Tardino, who was not re-elected, obtained 5,316 preferences. Almost two thousand people from Agrigento, however, gave their vote to General Vannacci.
