The engines are warming up for one of the most important events in the city. There is great anticipation for the event dedicated to the Patron Saint Saint John the Baptist, which will give citizens, from 17 to 24 Junea very rich calendar of itinerant initiatives, scattered throughout the municipal territory.
Off we go Monday 17 June in Largo Lamarmora at 9pm with the Bancarella Prize.
The next dayInstead, two events in Rondinella: at 3pm Lodobus, board games by Dungeon Store, and at 9pm the Larry Band which will entertain those present with Italian music from the Seventies.
Wednesday 19th three appointments to mark in your diary: in the afternoon a poetry workshop for children will take place in the “Montecitorio” garden. But there will also be the inauguration of the murals in Via Monte San Michele.
At 9pm everyone in Piazza Don Mapelli for the concert by the Paganelli Philharmonic and for the performance of the choir of the city of Sesto San Giovanni.
Thursday 20th the party will move to Bergamella: starting from 9pm it will be possible to follow the European Football Championship match which will see our national team playing against Spain on a giant screen.
Then followed by the concert of the ABBA cover band.
Friday 21st at 9pm in Piazza Oldrini there will be space for ballroom dancing with the Mario Ginelli orchestra.
The next day, Saturday 22 Junethe traveling party stops in Piazza Petazzi.
However, it will also take place on Saturday the Golden Sixth award ceremony, the city’s merit dedicated to those who have brought prestige to the city. The awards ceremony will be held in the boardroom starting from 10am.
During the morning of Saturday 22 again in Piazza Petazzi, for motor lovers and the curious, there will also be the gathering of the immortal historic Fiat 500s, “Cinquini Rombanti”. At 9pm there will be a concert by the Rufus Band, an original show of quick-change musicians.
Sunday 23 June throughout the day there will be stalls in Viale Casiraghi organized by La Fiera dei Mercanti, at 9pm the beer festival in Cascina Gatti with deejay sets and Pooh cover bands.
In the evening, then, the highly anticipated show of fireworks.
Monday 24th two moments dedicated to the Patron Saint: the interreligious prayer in Piazza Petazzi and at 9pm the Holy Mass at the Church of San Giovanni Battista in Via Fogagnolo.

An event that we strongly wanted to be itinerant, with a mobile stage that allows us to easily create suggestive locations in different squares, thus enhancing the entire territory and not just the historic center. The feast of San Giovanni remains one of the biggest events of the year to cheer and bring together the people of Sesto.
