A few more days to visit the photographic and documentary exhibition It was worth it for a Pope to come to Viterbo.
Set up and hosted at the Monastery of Santa Rosa and inaugurated last May 25th, the exhibition was conceived and promoted by the Facchini Association of Santa Rosa for the 40th anniversary of the pastoral visit of John Paul II to the City of Viterbo, which took place on 27 May 1984.

The contribution provided by the Sodalizio photographer Rodolfo Morbidelli for the research and preparation of the photographic material and by the Santa Rosa Study Center for the recovery of documents and relics was invaluable. In addition to the Diocese of Viterbo, the Municipality, the Province, ENIT, the Carivit Foundation and GRAMAS also shared and strengthened the importance of the event.

On display, in addition to numerous photoAlso materials preserved in the Monastery Archivesincluding the eighteenth-century armchair, restored for the occasion, placed in front of the altar and on which the Pope sat, the red velvet stole worn by the Pope during the church ceremony, an unpublished manuscript, newspaper articles, the speeches given by the Pope on the occasion of that memorable day and much more.
The graphics created for the exhibition recall the image of the poster designed and created in 1984 by Professor Luciano Ilari.
The exhibition can be admired until June 16th at the following times: 9.30/12.30 – 15.30/19.00. On Mondays only in the morning.
