Carpi, the students of “Vallauri” protagonists of TecnicaMente – SulPanaro

CARPI – 40 young people from the Vallauri Institute in Carpi were the protagonists of the eleventh edition of the Adecco TecnicaMente project, created with the aim of putting young people from technical high schools in contact with the world of production. Within the TecnicaMente project, the young people participated in dedicated coaching sessions to prepare themselves to face the world of work and challenged themselves in the presentation of projects commissioned from them by local companies. The projects consist of solving a specific problem linked to the production sector and the companies on the jury were LIU-JO SPA, EMPRESS SRL, RECA GROUP SPA, , TS LABELS SRL, GRUPPO DONDI SPA.

The winning projects were:

  • First place: Nico Farini – Baionetta project inspired by the favorite Fantasy video game starring a witch with magical hair
  • Second place: Valentina Mora – The Devil Wears Prada inspired by the famous film
  • Third place: Denise Bardoni – The real her… inspiration for a personal story

Special mentions from the jury went to:

  • Mention 1: Giorgia Vita – Animals everywhere innovation mention for attention to the trendy “pet clothing” theme
  • Mention 2: Gemma Ferrari – Frida Kahlo stylistic mention with the chosen theme and expressive ability to create
  • Mention 3: Diana Pistello – Lady: Diana’s horse mention for cutting-edge idea (she created a riding dress inspired by her personal passion for her horse named Lady)

The students had the opportunity to visit the companies, in particular the production lines, in order to learn directly their needs and requests. They were involved in mentoring courses held directly by the technical managers of the companies who also provided them with the material necessary for the development of the project. They also faced budget and time constraints to try to grapple with real business needs. Over the years, TecnicaMente has involved over 550 schools throughout Italy, 11,000 students and 3,700 companies, leading to the hiring of over 500 young people in 2023.

“The TecnicaMente formula not only allows knowledge and direct interaction between schools, companies and students, but provides a very concrete experience for children who have the opportunity to show skills, creativity and adaptability. It also offers companies the opportunity to get to know talent better for possible inclusion in the workforce which over the years has led to the hiring of hundreds of brilliant young people directly from school” – he has declared Veronica Campogiani, National Education Manager of The Adecco Group Italia.
