Bisceglie and the Amalfi Coast, a hot challenge that will be decided on the return leg – BisceglieLive.it

The first leg of the Eccellenza national playoff final between Bisceglie and the Amalfi Coast ended in a 1-1 draw. Mister Pino Di Meo’s team took the lead in the 13th minute thanks to Monaco’s goal, but in the second half the Campania team equalized with Pepe’s header.

In the first minutes of the game it was the Amalfi Coast that threatened: in the 4th minute Aiana produced a poisonous free kick involving Suma, who deflected it for a corner. In the 10th minute Matrone entered the Nerazzurri area, but Morisco did well to avert the danger. After 3 minutes, however, Bisceglie took the lead thanks to a goal by Gianmarco Monaco, his first goal of the season, who beat the Biancazzurri goalkeeper Manzi with a cross shot from the right. The Nerazzurri team tries to intensify the initiative, but in the 16th minute Bonicelli’s left-footed shot is too central. The Campania team reacts: in the 25th minute Petrosino on the right serves Caputo who hits the ball, but Suma keeps good guard. A few minutes later (33′) there is a misunderstanding between Lucero and Suma, the star-studded rearguard takes refuge in a corner. At the end of the first half it was Bisceglie who wasted a double opportunity: first with Bonicelli who, after overcoming three opposing defenders, kicked outside the goal, then with Pignataro, who latched on to Mangialardi’s suggestion from the right, sending the ball beyond the crossbar.

In the second half it was again Costa d’Amalfi who became dangerous with Cappiello’s turn in the area, however the ball went wide. The pace of the game drops, but in the 13th minute the blue and white team regains parity: following a corner, Pepe – free at the far post – heads the ball and scores the 1-1 goal. The Nerazzurri team suffered the blow, coach di Meo made three changes in the 20th minute: Fucci, Avantaggiato and Di Rito replaced Mangialardi, Monaco and Bonicelli. The match is then punctuated by numerous interruptions of play and without too many opportunities. In the 30th minute there is contact in the area against Fucci, but the referee decides to let the game continue. Last chance for Bisceglie to try to take the lead again in the 44th minute: following a free kick, Pignataro shoots towards the goal but his shot ends up on the outside of the net. In seven days, at the “San Martino” in Maiori, Bisceglie will have to win with any result or draw by scoring at least two goals to be promoted to Serie D.
