Based on the forecasts, the department of Civil protection, in agreement with the regions involved – responsible for the activation of civil protection systems in the affected territories – issued a new warning of adverse weather conditions, integrating and expanding the one released on Saturday. The warning predicts from the afternoon of Sunday 9 June, scattered or widespread rainfall, mainly in the form of downpours or thunderstorms, on Veneto and on Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzanoin addition to the persistence of these phenomena in Lombardy. The events will be accompanied by heavy showers, frequent lightning, local hailstorms and strong gusts of wind.
