Wine, flavors and inspirations in the heart of Montalcino: upon the arrival of the summer solstice, when the period of the year that leaves room for fun, passion and lightness officially begins, Montalcino opens for the third edition of the event dedicated to its “young” wine: Rosso di Montalcino.
And Red Montalcino gives a pop tone to the Chinese summer. The event dedicated to the denomination will be hosted in the Fortress on Friday 21 June.
“A versatile and contemporary expression of a wine territory known throughout the world, Rosso di Montalcino – which blows out forty candles this year – will be the protagonist of moments of discussion, tastings, tastings and food pairing,” it is explained.
To open the program of the third edition of the event, “Red Evolution: origins and future of Rosso di Montalcino”, the talk moderated by the editor-in-chief of Rainews24 Barbara Di Fresco (reserved by invitation, at 11 am | Chiostro di Sant’Agostino) which through the voices of Enzo Tiezzi, Andrea Costanti and Francesco Ripaccioli retraces the first forty years of the denomination and takes stock of the prospects and new trends of an identifying product for a look that looks from the past to the future of the DOC.
At 6pm the Fortezza also opens its doors to wine enthusiasts for the usual walk around tasting with 68 companies. We continue with the opening of the food corners offering regional, vegan and fusion gastronomic specialties (at 8pm), the collective wine shop with sommelier service and the mixology area with local products (at 10pm). To close Red Montalcino under the stars, the DJ set by Jay Carol Gigli of the Jas&Jay duo.
The ticket includes free access to the tasting with tasting tables of Montalcino producers, local gastronomic specialities, vegan and fusion, wine shop with sommelier service, cocktails area and DJ Set performance.
