The Civic Museum of Cuneo offers thematic visits aimed at delving into collections and collections

Starting from mid-June (until the first weekend of September) people who will visit the Civic Museum of Cuneo on weekends they will be able to choose between different thematic itineraries aimed at exploring the most original and lesser-known aspects of the exhibition. Many opportunities to discover the museum’s collections, recently enriched with new donations and noteworthy collections. The visits will last one hour, starting in three shifts: 3.30pm, 4.30pm and 5.30pm. Reservation is not mandatory, but appreciated, and can be made via email ([email protected]).

Alternatively, visitors will still have the opportunity to take advantage of the “classic” route with a guided tour, a service that has always been included in the entrance ticket on Saturdays and Sundays. From the weekend of 15 and 16 June, dedicated to the European Days of Archaeology, onwards, the following calendar of thematic visits will be proposed:

15/16 June: Archeology at the Civic Centre, from Prehistory to the Lombards;
22/23 June: In the fashion of the time, clothes and clothing in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries;
29/30 June: Painted traditions: the picture gallery of the Civic Museum of Cuneo;
7/6 July: Rituals and medicine: pharmacopoeia jars and ancient medicines;
13/14 July: Like ancient prehistorians, the “Livio Mano” room of the Museum
20/21 July: Roman sites and ancient epigraphs in the Sala della Romanità;
27/28 July: The archaeological discovery of the necropolis of Sant’Albano Stura;
3/4 August: The collection of Lenci cloth dolls at the Civic Center of Cuneo;
10/11/15 August: The entire museum itinerary between archeology and history;
17/18 August: Guido Strazza at the Civico di Cuneo, an appointment with contemporary art;
24/25 August: The art of wood in the Cuneo valleys;
31 August/1 September: The medieval frescoes of the monumental complex of San Francesco.

Please note the opening hours of the Civic Museum of Cuneo: from Tuesday to Sunday, from 3.30pm to 6.30pm. Telephone 0171/634175. Costs and tariffs starting from June 1st: full ticket 5 euros; reduced 3 euros. Free admission is available for museum pass holders, university pass holders, disabled people and children under 6 years of age. Reduced for under 18s, over 65s and groups of over 15.
