POTENZA PICENA Relaxing day yesterday for the two candidates for mayor of Potenza Picena, Mario Morgoni and Noemi Tartabini. After intense weeks of electoral campaigning – in which several meetings with voters followed one another – yesterday was the first day of tranquility before the result expected for tomorrow after the counting. «My Saturday? A bit of rest to recharge the batteries – says the candidate of the centre-right coalition -, above all I need to rest my voice given the busy days that have followed one another with the electoral rallies. I finally manage to spend some time with my family after so many sacrifices made in recent months and then when it opened I went to the polling station.”
The reflections
It is clear that our thoughts turn to what was done to get to the polls: «I trust in the sensitivity of the citizens – he says -, but I live this moment peacefully because I think we have given a lot. No superstitious rituals.” Rest also for the democrat Morgoni: «We are relaxing – he says -, but it is a relative rest because there is always the tension of waiting for the result». Result that will only arrive tomorrow. «This Saturday – he says – was a calm day, but also with a gratification in the soul which is that of having done a good job, built resources and ideas, regardless of the result. I hung out with our candidates a bit and spent some time at home recovering. A very calm day, without mental worries.”
