06/08/2024 – A tragic accident took the life of Roberto Ferrazzano, who would have turned 45 on June 24th. Riding his beloved Yamaha R1, Ferrazzano crashed into a car traveling in the opposite direction, losing his life instantly.
The accident occurred around half past midnight along Strada Montefeltro, near the entrance to the Palis restaurant.
The location of the accident is a straight stretch of road, unfortunately known for other serious accidents in the past. According to initial reconstructions, Roberto Ferrazzano’s motorbike was traveling in the direction of Vallefoglia, the municipality of his residence, while the car was coming from the opposite direction. It is not yet clear how the loss of control of the vehicles occurred, but from the findings of the local police it emerges that the motorcyclist tried to avoid the impact, as demonstrated by the marks left on the asphalt. Unfortunately, the collision was inevitable and devastating.
The extremely violent impact projected Ferrazzano’s body several meters away, while the motorbike shattered into several pieces. Rescue services intervened promptly: the 118 operators desperately tried to resuscitate Ferrazzano, but the wounds were too serious and the man died instantly. The firefighters also intervened on site to make the road and the vehicles involved safe, due to the large quantity of petrol spilled on the asphalt.
Roberto Ferrazzano, an upholsterer originally from Foggia but resident in Pesaro for years, was known and loved by many for his passion for motorbikes and boxing.
Yesterday morning, someone placed a bouquet of flowers in the spot where Roberto Ferrazzano lost his life. Colorful flowers sprouting on the street corner, next to a piece of the fairing of the motorbike that he loved so much.
