Polling stations open from today, Saturday 8 June, from 3pm to 11pm and Sunday 9 June from 7am to 11pm: in our region we vote for the European, Regional and municipalities that need to renew their council.
Where, how, when
The administrative elections of 8 and 9 June will involve 3,715 Italian municipalities, of which 3,528 belong to ordinary statute regions and 187 to special statute regions. 29 provincial capitals and six regional capitals are also voting.
Counting operations for the European elections will begin immediately after the polls close on Sunday at 11pm. While for the regional elections we will start on Monday from 2pm followed by the counting of the municipal elections.
All Italian citizens registered on the electoral lists who have reached the age of eighteen on the date of the vote can vote in municipal elections. Citizens of a member state of the European Union residing in the municipality where the elections are held can also go to the polls, provided they have submitted a request to the mayor within 40 days of the vote. As regards the non-local vote, it is possible to use it only for the European elections and not for the local elections.
