LAVIS. Voting will also take place on 8 and 9 June in Trentino for the European elections, respectively from 3pm to 11pm on Saturday and from 7am to 11pm on Sunday. Then the counting will be done immediately afterwards. Your seat can be found on the ballot paper (which if it has been lost or is used up, a new one can be requested at the town hall, which will remain open for the entire voting period). In Lavis the polling stations are located at the Clementi school, in via Degasperi.

It is not possible to cast a split vote (i.e. if you vote for the party, then any candidates chosen must be from the same list).

There are essentially two possibilities: Vote for the party alone (by placing an X on the symbol) / express one, two or three preferences next to the party symbol.

If preferences are expressed, Up to three candidates can be chosenbut be careful: if you choose more than one, it must be respected gender alternation. So: if you put two preferences, they must be a man and a woman. If you put three, you can vote for two women and a man or two men and a woman.

The Italian territory is divided into a series of constituencies, each of which elects a certain number of European parliamentarians. The electoral law is of type proportional, without majority bonuses: it means that the available places (calculated on the basis of the population in the reference territory) are distributed based on the percentage of votes received. With only one obligation: the party must obtain at least the 4 percent of the votes (otherwise it is excluded).

Trentino is part of the north-eastern district. Five years ago, the voters in the province of Trento were 57.36%. The “entitled persons” in the province are this time 476,222 (241,628 women and 234,594 men).
