PESARO – URBINO – They may not be the solution to the many local health problems but they certainly represent a nice breath of fresh air. We’re talking about the over thirty new doctors expected for the Pesaro Urbino Ast. This was announced on General Director Ast Pu Alberto Carelli: «From the emergency room, to ophthalmology, from anesthetists to psychiatrists, as promised by the first meetings held over the past few weeks with the directors of the various operational units, I wanted to give a strong boost to hiring. Within this month over thirty doctors will be taken from the rankings of the various competitions announced by the Ast to cover the staff shortages of the various departments. We are also moving forward with the hiring of nurses who for now have eight new operators.”

In particular eight medical managers for Emergency Medicine (two permanent and stabilized hires, 3 specialists and 3 professional collaboration contracts); six Anesthesia and Intensive Care doctors; four medical managers in the discipline of Ophthalmology (ophthalmologist); for the department of Cardiology five doctors will be hired within the year. Also departing letters for hiring at least eight psychiatristswhile for Internal Medicine the communications for the recruitment of eight doctors distributed across the four hospital facilities.

«Furthermore – adds Carelli – the competitions for the selection of two radiologists and four paediatricians will be held in June, while the procedures have been started to fill two positions for medical managers for orthopaedics, gastroenterology and biomedical laboratory technicians. An important job that will help fill an initial staff shortage and will give healthcare workers breathing space by providing increasingly high-quality responses to citizens. An important acceleration for hiring which will therefore also contribute to the reduction of waiting lists for outpatient services and those relating to hospitalizations”.
