The musical activities of the Diocesan Liturgical Musical Institute of Asti (IDILIM) restart in the month of June.

After the first appointment, in the magnificent setting of the Collegiate Church of San Secondo with the organ recital of the Mexican maestro Victor Contreras, the “Cantantibus Organis” review, organized by the Institute, continues on 8 June at 9 pm at Sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin of Portone in Asti.

The performers of the evening will beJunior Classical Orchestra of Alessandria with the Alessandria choir “VivAlcoro”with the student directors of the “Conducting instrumental and vocal groups” course of the Vivaldi Conservatory of Alessandria held by the teacher M° Paolo Ferrara.
Among the conductors participating in the evening, we highlight the young musician from Asti Riccardo Glinac, a piano, conducting and composition student at the “Vivaldi” in Alessandria and our collaborator for several years.

L’Junior Classical Symphony Orchestra is a chamber-symphonic ensemble, a young emanation of the Classical Orchestra of Alessandria, which includes children and young people with a maximum age limit of 21 years, coming from music schools and conservatories in the provincial territory of Alessandria and beyond.

Founded in 2007 with the aim of encouraging young people to study music, combating youth hardship and school dropout, creating opportunities for aggregation and offering the opportunity to share an important artistic experience to learn the criteria of “being in the orchestra” .
She has numerous concerts to her credit in Piedmont and was the protagonist of an experimental tour (in collaboration with ASL -AL) consisting of a series of concerts at the various hospitals in the province.
He collaborated with LILT (provincial section of Alessandria) with the project “The harmonic inspiration… of prevention”, an educational strategy aimed, in the adolescent context, at promoting health and preventing risky behaviour.
At the “Expo 2015” Congress Center, some musicians performed in front of the ambassador of Burkina Faso, as part of the “Water for Life” conference organized by the Lions.

In 2017, 2018 and 2019 he performed a series of concerts in synergy with the Preparatory Course for Orchestra Conducting under the guidance of M° Paolo Ferrara (teacher at the “Vivaldi” Conservatory of Alessandria) and with the adult choir of the same Conservatory directed by Monica Elias.
After the forced closure of activities due to the pandemic, the “Antonio Vivaldi” State Conservatory of Music and the “Saluzzo Plana” Music High School of Alessandria have stipulated an agreement, with the aim of collaborating on the promotion and support of the Junior Classical Youth Orchestra of Alessandria, giving it a permanent structure with a three-year concert program (2023-2025), with the aim of promoting the musical education of young students of Conservatories, Music High Schools and Music Schools present in the area, offering them equal opportunities , allow professionalizing public experiences, give permanent structure to the Orchestra in a project path, avoiding occasionalism and provisionality and constitute an instrumental preparation suitable for carrying out the discipline “Conducting Instrumental and Vocal Groups”, present in the training offer of the Conservatory under the guidance by Maestro Paolo Ferrara.
