The people of Turin called to vote

As in every electoral round, while waiting for the games to be concluded and the counting to begin, it is interesting to sift through the curiosities. The first concerns new voters. In Turin there will be 12,491 first-time voters, of these 6,014 are girls and 6,477 are boys, but there is an even more curious fact: in the city there are 47 people who turn 18 on 8 or 9 June, and this means that they will be able to show up at the polls and express their preference. Among these there are 24 girls and 23 boys.

The other side of the coin are the older ones and also in this case the data is very interesting because on 9 June there will be 443 people from Turin who will have turned one hundred years old. There are 363 women, a clear majority, while there are 80 men. In total, the Turin citizens who have the right to vote in the European elections are 667,150, of these 350,798 are females and 316,352 males. For the regional elections the electoral body is made up of 688,711 Turin citizens, divided between 360,195 females and 328,516 males.
