The Diabasis publishing house of Parma is in judicial liquidation

The Court of Parma has decreed the opening of the judicial liquidation of the publishing house Diabasisi srl of Parma.

From the documents acquired during the investigation, the judges considered that the prerequisites and conditions for the opening of judicial liquidation exist, in consideration – as stated in the dispositive statement – of the “serious situation of bankruptcy in which the debtor finds itself”; tax debts of 81,398.75 euros, debts to INPS of 1,253.70 euros and the failure to file the financial statements (the last one filed dates back to 31 December 2021) are mentioned.

The curator of the proceedings was Federico Bottrighi. At a future hearing the passive status will be examined. Creditors have thirty days to submit claims.

Edizioni Diabasis was founded in 1988 in Reggio Emilia, where it had its headquarters until 2012. Following the death of the founder Alessandro Scansani and the passage under the control of Diaroads chaired by Mauro Massa, the publishing house had moved its offices to Parma .

Among the latest works produced, in 2020 to celebrate the year of Parma as Italian capital of culture, Diabasis had published an anthology, Parma. The narrators tell about their citywhich collects the stories of the twenty-two most representative writers of the area
