Varese mourns the partisan Cin

Varese – He’s dead Luigi Grossi, the Cin partisan. He passed away today – Saturday 8 June – at the age of 98 years old. This is the news the Anpi Varese.

Originally from Arona, on the Piedmontese shore of Lake Maggiore, he settled in Varese after the war, becoming one of the leading figures of the provincial Anpi, very active with his work of rdown payment and testimony especially in the shearts. A powerful story, his, common to many children of the time who found themselves at a very young age at a crossroads in history. He chose it Resistence. Born in 1926, not yet 18 years old Grossi to be part of Alpine Brigade ‘Berltrami’operating in those territories that will also become famous for having been there Republic of Ossola. With his nom de guerre Cin he therefore took part in one of the most important and significant partisan experiences, contributing to the Liberation.

A beautiful and exciting opportunity to listen to him again from his live voice the most significant episodes of his past freedom fighter and the reasons for a commitment never wavered during his life. Unfortunately his health conditions did not allow us to repeat our meeting this year too”.
