Uil opens free legal desk for PA employees attacked

Lucca, 8 June 2024 – Born free counter of legal protection available to public employees who are victims of attacks in the workplace. This is the initiative implemented in Lucca and Versilia by Uil Fpl which launches the ‘Zero tolerance towards aggression’ project. For the secretary of the Uil Fpl of Lucca, Pietro Casciani, together with the representative Uil fpl of Lucca Andrea Lunardi and Versilia Fausto Delli, “physical and verbal attacks against public employees that occur every year are no longer tolerable. If those in healthcare are the most striking and numerous, however there are hundreds of cases every year that occur in all institutions where there are it is contact with the public. This is why we have decided to make a free legal protection service available to workers.” The attacked worker, it is explained in a note, will have the right to an interview with the representative of the affiliated law firm who will evaluate the situation, in collaboration with the union’s service workers, and where all the necessary and preliminary information will be provided to the worker. “At that point, having assessed the possible wrongdoing suffered – continues Casciani – the worker will be able to give a mandate to the lawyer to be assisted, so as to be able to assume the extrajudicial and judicial defense and prepare the deed of complaint or complaint and, in the case to initiate criminal proceedings, the establishment of a civil party as well as judicial assistance during the entire proceeding”.
