“Green line summer paths”, Umbria protagonist

Travel through Umbria at a slow pace to enjoy the environmental and monumental beauties, nourishing the spirit of that religiosity and mysticism that only some places, sometimes hidden, can offer: there is all this in the naturalistic and religious paths that you see once again Umbria is the leader of a project that also involves the Marche, Lazio, Tuscany and Emilia Romagna. The initiative promoted by the ministries of tourism and culture, counts on the collaboration of Rai which will dedicate 6 episodes to the paths that wind through these regions of central Italy, from La Via di Francesco, to the Cammino di San Benedetto and the Via Lauretana, with Umbria being the true geographical hub, but also a key region of wealth of experience in terms of slow tourism.

“It is now increasingly evident – said the regional councilor for Tourism, Paola Agabiti – how the Cammini represent a completely innovative way of tourist and cultural enjoyment of the ‘Italian destination’, characterized by a strong experiential content, given that they represent a journey to discover unusual and fascinating places, unique landscapes and villages, food and wine excellences and events, perfect for an experience to share with other trekking enthusiasts. Regional programming is therefore increasingly focused on valorising this type of holiday which always attracts Italian and foreign visitors to our region. In fact, religious walks and paths will always represent a characterizing feature of the tourist offer of our region, strongly intertwined with artistic and cultural routes”.

In this context, Rai will have a leading role on the dissemination and promotion of the territory: from 8 June to 27 July every Saturday at 12.30 Linea Verde Sentieri Estate will be broadcast: discovering the paths of Italy with Umbria is the protagonist in three episodes dedicated to the Via di San Benedetto and the Via Lauretana.
