Pesaro 2024 elections: there are those who become adults on Sunday, but can already vote today

Pesaro, 8 June 2024 – There is at least one seventeen year old in the city who if he wanted could vote, already today, from 3 pm. This is allowed by the law that opened the polling stations for the administrative and the 2024 European Championships, just the day before his eighteenth birthday. We would like to interview you to gather the emotions and hopes of generation Z: please contact us at the editorial office [email protected]. Overall today the call to vote will be for 80,862 including 38,804 men and 42,058 women. We vote to elect the next mayor and the new Pesaro City Council (blue ballot) and the European Parliament (fuchsia ballot). In particular, 1,400 out of 80,862 who have been residing in the Municipality of Monteciccardo for at least 15 days with a third card, green, will be able to elect the new president and the new council of the municipality of Monteciccardo. If the youngest voters are all from the class of 2006, the oldest is a woman who is 108 years old on the date of the vote. Residents abroad who applied to vote were 82 EU citizens who will be able to vote for the European Parliament, while there are 142 foreigners who could vote for the municipal elections.

The times. Voting takes place today from 3pm to 11pm and tomorrow from 7am to 11pm. Counting for the municipal elections will begin at 2pm on Monday.

Where. In Pesaro there are 106 seats. For construction sites involving traditional sites, in view of today’s and tomorrow’s vote the Municipality of Pesaro has replaced 6 of its usual seats. The different location of the sections will affect 8,428 voters.

Those (3 sections) of the Anna Frank school move to the premises of the Vismara district (in via Basento, in the spaces that house the school); the municipal premises of Pozzo Alto are replaced by the parish ones (1 section); those in via Petrarca 18 in Muraglia (3 sections) move, a few meters away, to the Salice Gualdoni socio-cultural center. The seats of the Mascarucci school (5 sections) will be located in viale Trieste 236, in the temporary headquarters of the Mascarucci primary school. Furthermore, the 3 sections located in the Perticari complex (corso XI Settembre 203) are transferred to the Mengaroni high school complex, with access from via Mengaroni 29; the 2 sections of Candelara, already located at the former primary school in Strada della Pieve, were temporarily transferred to the district headquarters in Strada Borgo Santa Lucia 40.

Election shuttles. To facilitate the movement of voters from the six “moved” polling stations, the Municipality has provided a free shuttle service active at the following times and with the following routes between the previous location (the address of the polling station closed because it is occupied by a construction site, ed.) and that of landing, following the transfer.

Today the trips will leave at 4pm, 5pm, 6pm and 7pm from via Agostini 144 (former Soria primary school) to reach viale Trieste 236 (new Mascarucci school headquarters) after 10 minutes. From via Agostini, at 4.15pm, 5.15pm, 6.15pm and 7.15pm the shuttle will first reach Santa Maria delle Fabbrecce (stop on the SS16) at 4.30pm, 5.30pm, 6.30pm and 7.30pm, then the polling stations in via Basento at 4.35pm, 5.35pm, 6.35pm and 7.35pm. The vehicle will make the return journey (last journey at 7.55pm in via Agostini). Tomorrow the trips are scheduled every hour, from via Agostini, starting from 9 am and until 7.55 pm following the same routes as on Saturday.
