«It was 02/29/2024 when with resolution no. 314, the Municipality of Barletta, entrusted BAR.SASPA with the task of carrying out the functional recovery works and restoration of the safety and decorum conditions of the existing cycle path (even if to be honest a cycle path has other characteristics) in the area located between via F. Cafiero and the Naval League. A “futuristic” project at least on paper, including the resin arrangement of the cycle path, the construction of the photovoltaic lighting system with a photocell system and the protection of the path with concrete New Jersey. Amount of works already in the hands of the municipal company mentioned above for the amount of €253,760.93, financed by funds from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.
To date, however (with the summer starting), only months have passed and what is clearly visible is only earth, dust, a piece of road not yet asphalted, in memory of the Paris-Dakar and obviously the total absence of horizontal signs.
