Nazzareno and Duilio Brodoloni return behind the bar to pass on the art of bartending. And they will do so through “a course which – explained Nazzareno Brodoloni himself – aims to train bartenders in the Foligno area and bring back its culture”. Because, he underlined, “being a barman is a job as important as it is beautiful, a profession that knows no unemployment, because whoever is a barman and knows how to do it well is always at work”.

In this sense, the story of the two brothers is incredible, in fact there are many recognitions that both have obtained during their careers behind the bar, such as the conquest of the world champion title by Duilio Brodoloni in Acapulco in 1968. For them, moreover, not This is the first course organized: in the past, in fact, they have promoted several, the last of which was three years ago. Nazzareno and Duilio, among other things, were the first in the area to give value to the barman’s profession, teaching both the role and the psychology of the fundamental component of the bar. So much so that now, in Los Angeles, one of their students has opened a bar in Beverly Hills.

The two brothers were the first to give space and prestige to the figure of the barman in Foligno, since the opening of their historic venue “Sparafucile”, where a long process began that led them to develop a culture as thick as their own identity local, making history in Umbria, from every point of view. “It is important to bring the true culture of the bar back to Foligno – declared Ivo Picchiarelli, who with Nazzareno and Duilio will hold the barman course -, because this city has been a symbol of it both from the point of view of the production of bar products and of the service, concretized in the great history of Gran Caffè Sassovivo”.

The course, which will have the Hostaria L’Antica Zecca as its base, will also involve other locations in the Umbrian territory. Structured in seven meetings, it will see as teachers – in addition to Nazzareno and Duilio Brodoloni and Ivo Picchiarelli, also the world champion Pimpinicchi, Carlo Rampioni and a teacher from the Spoleto hotel institute.
