Thursday morning, the students of the VD, of the “Giovanni Paolo II” complex in Andria, crossed the red gate of their school for the last time, a school that welcomed them so young in September 2019 and which will see them exit projected towards the ‘adolescence.
An obstacle course that saw them overwhelmed by the pandemic in March 2020: school closure, forced to stay at home just when their educational and personal growth was starting. And then the dad, the ddi, acronyms that kept them distant and divided between swabs, infections, fears and in any case hopes. Hopes of growing together again, as they later managed to do.
And so, between tears and an already present nostalgia, to the notes of the song “Over the rainbow” and to the cry of mother Lella: “may the dreams of these children come true”, they thus greeted their last day of school, launching into the heaven, their white balloon. Only one was red and heart-shaped, that of their curriculum teacher Carmela, who accompanied them all… Among tears, applause and amazement of all those present, a beautiful period in the lives of these children ends. Hello dear school, full of childhood memories! Hi teacher Carmela, we love you!
