Herculaneum, thefts in pharmacies: the thieves caught

HERCOLANO – Two suspects arrested for the thefts carried out in pharmacies between August 2023 and March 2024. The Carabinieri of the Herculaneum office have executed, in Naples, a precautionary custody order under house arrest, with an electronic bracelet, issued by the Judge for Preliminary Investigations of the Naples Court.

The order was carried out against two suspects, Italian citizens both residing in Naples, one seriously suspected of 7 episodes of theft and, both, in conjunction with each other, of another theft, crimes committed in Naples and Herculaneum between August 2023 and March 2024.

The timely investigations, directed by the Naples Prosecutor’s Office, III Investigation Section, and carried out by the Herculaneum Carabinieri lieutenant, made it possible to acquire serious indications of guilt towards the two suspects – according to their respective individual positions -, specialized in thefts, operated with skill within pharmacies and during opening hours to the public, involving pharmaceutical products, cosmetics and supplements, exposed to the public, for a total value of approximately 4 thousand euros.
