Visit of the Minister of Economy and Planning of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Faisal F. Alibrahim, with a delegation, headquarters of Next Technology Tecnotessile, a reference company on a European scale in technological research applied to the needs of businesses, in particular of the supply chain textile. Among the topics addressed in the meeting, he reports society, digital transition and technological innovation. The Saudi minister had two days of initiatives between Prato, Florence and Modena organized by the Made in Italy Cluster with the aim of establishing a close dialogue with companies, universities and regional clusters for technology transfer.
“For us it was a moment of great importance – explains the president of Next Technology Tecnotessile, Massimo Biancalani -, which allowed us to open a dialogue on a global scale and to talk about what we do alongside companies and in scope of ministerial and European projects”. “The meeting was particularly fruitful – adds Enrico Venturini, senior researcher at Next Technology Tecnotessile – The ambition is to be able to start a constant dialogue with the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for partnerships and collaborations on targeted projects. In particular for the construction of value chains inspired by the winning models of Italian manufacturing. The Prato district and its production entities can play a key role in this context”. The president of the Made in Italy Cluster, Matteo Tonon, declared: “We are very satisfied with what has been achieved in these two important days of intense activity. We have given rise to a series of constructive meetings with extraordinary potential to strengthen Made in Italy in the Saudi market, whose growth and development data, especially in the innovative field, are highly significant”.
